When is a hummingbird really a moth? When a sphinx moth tricks you into believing that it is one! But don’t feel bad…you have been fooled by one of best mimics in nature. At first glance, sphinx moths look and move just like a hummingbird. Their large hummingbird shaped body and sharp-pointed wings are instantly deceiving, especially as they hover from flower to flower sucking up nectar. Some say it’s not kind to fool Mother Nature, but it is kind of fun when Mother Nature fool us.
