Lauren made the wonderful transition from “booze” to birds in April of 2006 when she sold the Loveland liquor store that her Dad and her were partners in for 16 years and bought WBU in Fort Collins. She had been feeding birds in her own backyard for 4 years before turning her hobby into a career. Her favorite part about owning a WBU franchise is that each day presents new challenges and she loves to spread her passion for the hobby to anyone that’s interested. While her favorite bird is the American Goldfinch, she is interested in “birdies of another feather” on her days off. You’ll find her golfing whenever the store will allow for time off and the weather on the Front Range will permit.

After a 31 years as a teacher, it seemed natural to let one of Rob's hobbies provide him with the opportunity to enjoy working with people and feeding birds at the same time. Each day brings a new adventure as customers share their joy of bird feeding or a new bird that visited their yard. Rob also loves hearing about the other animals that they see. He is here to help make your experience with birds an enjoyable one.

Connie started at the store in the fall of 2006, with a couple of summers off. The products she likes best in the store are the Eco-Tough Feeders and the No-Mess Harvest Blend. Connie's favorite bird is the Dark-eyed Junco. Connie has been feeding and watching birds and building backyard habitats for over 25 years. She is Wild Bird magazine's 2008 Birder Of The Year. When she's not at the store, developing programs, or working on the website you can find her working in her yard, spending time with her family hiking, and of course, birding. Mari Hawk, Sales Associate

Mari started working at Wild Birds Unlimited in January 2007. Her favorite bird is the Red-breasted Nuthatch, which is only in town during the wintertime. She also enjoys watching American Kestrals. Her favorite part about working at Wild Birds Unlimited is being able to discuss birds with all the nature lovers that come into our store.
Garret Hultgren, Sales Associate

Garret began working at Wild Birds Unlimited in February 2008, but has been a birder for many years. He enjoys helping enthusiastic customers attract the birds they desire. He also loves to identify “backyard visitors” for puzzled bird watchers. Garret loves helping those who visit the store feel welcome and get the most out of their bird feeding experiences. He enjoys watching raptors and waterfowl; his favorite birds include the Downy Woodpecker, the Mallard, and the American Kestrel.
Marv French, Associate in Training
Marv joined our team November 2009. He began feeding birds in Jr. High while working in a pet store. When Marv discovered the great line of feeders, Advanced Pole System and wide selection of fresh seed blends at Wild Birds Unlimited he knew he found a winning combination. Marv has been in retail for over 20 years. He has owned and run a family pet store, sold cameras and optics and worked in other retail establishments. Marv feeds birds year round. By adding different feeders for different times of the year he enjoys the great variety of birds in this area.

Josh joined our team in November of 2009. He was taught the love of appreciating wildlife as a youth, by his father while growing up in northwest Iowa. He has been living in Colorado for many years now and has discovered a passion for bird feeding a hobby he enjoys with his family. He loves working in an environment that fuels his hobby and enjoys sharing his passion for birds with customers.
